Ooh, the excitement of summer has finally sunk in. How did this come about?
I was in Bossini picking out some very cute tank tops they had on sale (only $39! -about $5 USD) when suddenly some older stuff comes on. Sheryl Crow's "Soak Up The Sun". Avril's "Complicated", although I seriously dislike Avril. It's just all so last summer!
Suddenly a wave of nostalgia ran through me and I could actually picture Canada, the interior of my grandma's house, Superstore, Stampede, Canada Day parade.
Mmm, can't wait for Stampede especially. Bound to be some cute guys dressed as cowboys, the Eukanuba dog show, mini donuts, foot long hotdogs, insane rides, livestock display, and the typical fairground games.
However, will miss Canada Day. Apparently people are going to protest over here against Article 23. Some people even say they're going to wear black. Excuse me! I'm going to put temporary tattoos of the Canadian flag on my cheeks like I did last year and wear red and white, not wear black. Pfft.
Although am looking forward to Canada, I'm not looking forward to the sixteen hour flight (transfer flight from Vancouver to Calgary included). I've developed somewhat of a fear of flying after last year's turbulence flying over Japan and the Aleutians. It was so rough the overhead compartment opened! I was also afraid the elderly woman in front of me was going to suffer a heart attack or stroke.
At least Cathay has movies to help fight sixteen hours of boredom.
