With winter comes mixed feelings. Winter's coolness makes perfect excuse for socializing, sharing a few lattes inside a warm cafe while the ferocious harbour wind rattles the glass door, or working up one of the few sweats at the annual Snowball wearing nothing but jeans and a midriff.
Yet at the same time the brisk wind makes for antisocialness - listening to jazzy Christmas carol renditions, sipping hot cocoa with an exciting novel. Have been feeling a little of the latter. When I come home Friday evenings after mochas, yoga and laughs, I just want to curl up on the sofa and enjoy being by myself. It's really strange, this juxtaposition of behaviour.
The next two weeks will be insane. The Christmas shopping, the winter concerts, Snowball, Rockfest, ISPs, prepping for exams, and then.....
Christmas.
