brief review: jay sean's "Me Against Myself"

it's times like these that i'm grateful for exclusive imports from the UK ending up on HK's shelves (other times include owning Bend It Like Beckham DVD while it was showing in theaters in Canada, and seeing Johnny English and beating the critics in the US to the bad reviews). there are a couple of songs i'm not too crazy about - "Holding On", "I Believe In You", and "One Minute" are way too Britpop for me to enjoy- but there are many tracks that i'd listen to on repeat. "Eyes On You", "One Night", "Stolen", "Meri Jaan", "Dance With You" all good ones. But my absolute favourites are the rap tracks - they're hilarious! The Intro starts out rap and ends with Rishi Rich crashing the party. The Interlude is really good: "more than just a chip on my shoulder". And the best track of the album, Me Against Myself! It had me rolling on the floor with all the imitation and self dissing. The hidden track "Who is Kamaljit?" is possibly the funniest part of the album.

On a side note, Jay Sean's music videos are pretty standard. The only one I enjoyed is the end of Eyes On You, where his rap self finds his R&B self. But damn, he's so cute.

WE RETURN TO OUR NORMAL PROGRAMMING.

School is pretty hell right now. But it's always like this the two weeks of December.

Medicins Sans Frontieres came to school today. It was really good. More stuff to add to my portfolio. ^-^
